The Cypress Lake Estates in South Fort Myers recently underwent a comprehensive exterior renovation by Olde Florida Contracting, bringing new life to the community. This multi-phase project, which involved the exterior renovation of nine buildings, carports, and garages, was crucial to improving both the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of the complex. The extensive work spanned over two years and addressed years of deferred maintenance.
Each of the buildings presented its own set of unique challenges. Once the old T1-11 siding was removed, it became evident that some buildings required more extensive structural repairs than initially anticipated. Despite these challenges, our team meticulously restored and upgraded the properties to exceed modern standards. All buildings were re-wrapped with durable Zipwall and Hardie Board siding, ensuring long-lasting protection against the elements.
Beyond siding replacement, the renovation included repairing and replacing essential elements such as aluminum screen enclosures, gutters, doors, and stucco. The project was not without its obstacles, including the unexpected arrival of Hurricane Irma during construction. Thankfully, the storm’s impact was minor, but it did necessitate additional repairs. Despite this setback, our team completed the renovation ahead of schedule, finishing the project six months early.
