Cedar Hammock Kitchen Remodel

After remodeling the owners bathroom in their old condo several years ago, we were honored to get the call when they purchased their new home across the golf course.

The interior of this home was gutted from floor to ceiling. Walls were removed in the kitchen and dining room to create a more open concept floor plan and expand the kitchen. With the walls gone, we were able to completely re-frame the layout of the kitchen to accommodate floor-to-ceiling white Starmark cabinets on one wall while creating two new peninsulas into the adjoining family rooms on each side. This also gave us space to build a large center island in Capri blue. Cambria countertops were installed in the kitchen and both full bathrooms.

Keeping with the coastal contemporary theme, the owners selected a light hardwood that was installed throughout the home. The solid wood beams added to one of the living rooms was stained to match the floors. The other living room and dining room ceilings also got framing detail that truly makes this a one-of-a-kind home.

Taking advantage of the high ceilings, a fireplace was framed between two windows in the living room, then wrapped with shiplap in a V pattern. Starmark cabinets and butcher-block countertops were installed on either side for a built in look.
